Monique Shergill

Therapist Intern

Languages Spoken in Therapy: Punjabi and English

Experience: I bring extensive experience in mental health and community engagement, including my work as a Registered Behavioral Technician, where I supported individuals with developmental and behavioral challenges. Additionally, I have volunteered as a Hospice Aide, providing compassionate care during end-of-life transitions, and interned at places of worship where I facilitated group counseling sessions and spearheaded mental health awareness initiatives. These experiences have equipped me with a strong foundation in client care, collaboration, and advocacy.

Training: As a Graduate Student at Seattle Pacific University, my training in Marriage and Family Therapy focuses on developing advanced therapeutic skills, including systemic assessment, relational dynamics, and culturally responsive care. This program has allowed me to integrate theoretical knowledge with hands-on clinical experiences, equipping me to work effectively with diverse individuals, couples, and families.

The Best Client for me: I am deeply committed to working with young couples and individuals, as well as couples and families navigating the complexities of cultural and faith-based identities. My passion lies in helping clients build stronger, more fulfilling relationships while addressing challenges related to communication, cultural expectations, and life transitions.
